There are so many things online referencing adoption from China. There is so much happening it seems that you just need a sense of humour to get you through another day. I will admit, some days are better than others.
The online community has been a wonderful source of support! It seems that the deeper you look the more you can find. Somethings you don't want to know...things like why is the wait so long, or the predictions for the wait becoming even longer! Yikes.
The best thing about this, is that Lauryn is already in our hearts. We talk about her like she is here. That keeps both Kyle and I content. Yes, we have a very long wait ahead. However there is still a LOT to do. So for now, we are going to roll up our sleeves and get busy. We've got a baby on the way!
I found this picture today. I love it! Wow, we even have an ultrasound picture!! See, adoption really isn't that different. It's just all in the way you look at it!

You are so right adoption really isn't all that different. Harder maybe but it is still about wanting a child to love. The greatest thing is Lauryn will be the most loved child on this planet. She is coming to a family who really know the meaning of "love" and "family". If anyone can vouch for that I can. I think about you and the feelings you must be going through knowing you will be incredible parents. Keep writing!!!!
